Appraisal Sentry™ is a web service developed by AppraisalWorld™ that authenticates the identity of the appraiser. This unique service satisfies the ever-increasing major security needs of the real estate lending industry.
Ongoing Verification
Each time an appraiser is located by a search in the AppraisalWorld Directory, they are matched and authenticated against a real-time database. So when you see the appraiser in the AppraisalWorld Directory listing with a green shield, you can trust that they are who they say they are.
Appraiser Authentication
To earn a green Sentry "certification" shield in the directory, the appraiser must complete a rigorous three-step authentication process with EVS, a third-party company that identifies individuals. During the first step, the data that is provided by the appraiser is compared against credit bureau data in real-time, which can immediately report back any potential problems. In the second step, the appraiser is asked a series of "Out of Pocket" questions, for which only they would know the answers. Third, the appraiser submits their license information. Once these steps have been completed, the appraiser is authenticated and a green Sentry certification shield will appear on their online business card in their AppraisalWorld Directory listing.
