Lance Wisner's Story

This week’s CVR Specialist comes from Denver, Colorado. He, like many, became interested because of its appeal to take back business from BPOs and has been successful receiving orders from US Bank. Read how the CVR has increased his business in such a short amount of time.

Lance Wisner has been running his own company and doing appraisals in the greater Denver area since 2000. His first introduction to the CVR was after his friend took the training and recommended it to him.  Lance did some research and quickly realized the benefits of taking back the valuation business.

As of today, Lance has been performing CVRs for the past month and a half. All his orders come from the US Bank. Since becoming certified, Lance has already performed around 65 orders, 40 in the last month alone.

There are three specific aspects of the CVR that Lance likes. First, he explains that the report is very straightforward and easy to understand, particularly the regression analysis. It takes him about 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete a CVR report. Second, Lance is fond of the graphs that are created by the CVR. And finally, he enjoys that it helps the appraiser to see the trends concerning the neighborhood of the property.

In his spare time, Lance enjoys playing music on guitar and bass. He recently went on a vacation to Tennessee to visit family.

Lance has a few words of advice for those thinking about using the CVR:

• When completing orders, get multiple orders together and do all of the drive-bys at the same time
• Create a database in the beginning
• Remember to pull out outliers
